{"id":"AZL-44652","summary":"CVE-2017-11613 affecting package openjpeg2 2.3.1-12","details":"In LibTIFF 4.0.8, there is a denial of service vulnerability in the TIFFOpen function. A crafted input will lead to a denial of service attack. During the TIFFOpen process, td_imagelength is not checked. The value of td_imagelength can be directly controlled by an input file. In the ChopUpSingleUncompressedStrip function, the _TIFFCheckMalloc function is called based on td_imagelength. If we set the value of td_imagelength close to the amount of system memory, it will hang the system or trigger the OOM killer.","modified":"2026-04-01T05:16:42.745695Z","published":"2017-07-26T08:29:00Z","upstream":["CVE-2017-11613"],"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2017-11613"}],"affected":[{"package":{"name":"openjpeg2","ecosystem":"Azure Linux:3","purl":"pkg:rpm/azure-linux/openjpeg2"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"last_affected":"2.3.1-12"}]}],"database_specific":{"source":"https://github.com/microsoft/AzureLinuxVulnerabilityData/blob/main/osv/AZL-44652.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.7.5","severity":[{"type":"CVSS_V3","score":"CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H"}]}
