{"id":"AZL-63750","summary":"CVE-2025-27151 affecting package valkey for versions less than 8.0.3-3","details":"Redis is an open source, in-memory database that persists on disk. In versions starting from 7.0.0 to before 8.0.2, a stack-based buffer overflow exists in redis-check-aof due to the use of memcpy with strlen(filepath) when copying a user-supplied file path into a fixed-size stack buffer. This allows an attacker to overflow the stack and potentially achieve code execution. This issue has been patched in version 8.0.2.","modified":"2026-04-01T05:20:15.966982Z","published":"2025-05-29T09:15:25Z","upstream":["CVE-2025-27151"],"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2025-27151"}],"affected":[{"package":{"name":"valkey","ecosystem":"Azure Linux:3","purl":"pkg:rpm/azure-linux/valkey"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"8.0.3-3"}]}],"database_specific":{"source":"https://github.com/microsoft/AzureLinuxVulnerabilityData/blob/main/osv/AZL-63750.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.7.5"}
