{"id":"AZL-6391","summary":"CVE-2020-15114 affecting package etcd for versions less than 3.5.0-3","details":"In etcd before versions 3.3.23 and 3.4.10, the etcd gateway is a simple TCP proxy to allow for basic service discovery and access. However, it is possible to include the gateway address as an endpoint. This results in a denial of service, since the endpoint can become stuck in a loop of requesting itself until there are no more available file descriptors to accept connections on the gateway.","modified":"2026-04-01T05:20:13.701114Z","published":"2020-08-06T23:15:11Z","upstream":["CVE-2020-15114"],"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2020-15114"}],"affected":[{"package":{"name":"etcd","ecosystem":"Azure Linux:2","purl":"pkg:rpm/azure-linux/etcd"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"3.5.0-3"}]}],"database_specific":{"source":"https://github.com/microsoft/AzureLinuxVulnerabilityData/blob/main/osv/AZL-6391.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.7.5","severity":[{"type":"CVSS_V3","score":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:N/I:N/A:H"}]}
