{"id":"CVE-2022-41879","summary":"Parse Server subject to Prototype pollution via Cloud Code Webhooks","details":"Parse Server is an open source backend that can be deployed to any infrastructure that can run Node.js. In versions prior to 5.3.3 or 4.10.20, a compromised Parse Server Cloud Code Webhook target endpoint allows an attacker to use prototype pollution to bypass the Parse Server `requestKeywordDenylist` option. This issue has been patched in versions 5.3.3 and 4.10.20. There are no known workarounds.","aliases":["BIT-parse-2022-41879","GHSA-93vw-8fm5-p2jf"],"modified":"2026-05-28T03:53:06.294422924Z","published":"2022-11-10T00:00:00Z","database_specific":{"cwe_ids":["CWE-1321"],"cna_assigner":"GitHub_M","osv_generated_from":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2022/41xxx/CVE-2022-41879.json"},"references":[{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2022/41xxx/CVE-2022-41879.json"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/parse-community/parse-server/security/advisories/GHSA-93vw-8fm5-p2jf"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2022-41879"}],"affected":[{"ranges":[{"type":"GIT","repo":"https://github.com/parse-community/parse-server","events":[{"introduced":"46c9a91627a0503f0364c4cc1cc9bba3c6a86d65"},{"fixed":"fd8a11bc274fb6c89a6088b1162b4e694d9b61f3"}]}],"versions":["5.3.2","5.3.1","5.3.0","5.2.8","5.2.7","5.2.6","5.2.5","5.2.4","5.2.3","5.2.2","5.2.1","5.2.0","5.1.1","5.1.0","5.0.0"],"database_specific":{"source":"https://storage.googleapis.com/osv-test-cve-osv-conversion/osv-output/CVE-2022-41879.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.7.5","severity":[{"type":"CVSS_V3","score":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H"}]}
