{"id":"DEBIAN-CVE-2022-49875","details":"In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:  bpftool: Fix NULL pointer dereference when pin {PROG, MAP, LINK} without FILE  When using bpftool to pin {PROG, MAP, LINK} without FILE, segmentation fault will occur. The reson is that the lack of FILE will cause strlen to trigger NULL pointer dereference. The corresponding stacktrace is shown below:  do_pin   do_pin_any     do_pin_fd       mount_bpffs_for_pin         strlen(name) \u003c- NULL pointer dereference  Fix it by adding validation to the common process.","modified":"2026-09-01T16:05:33.549664368Z","published":"2025-05-01T15:16:12.450Z","upstream":["CVE-2022-49875"],"references":[{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://security-tracker.debian.org/tracker/CVE-2022-49875"}],"affected":[{"package":{"name":"linux","ecosystem":"Debian:12","purl":"pkg:deb/debian/linux?arch=source&distro=bookworm"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"6.0.10-1"}]}],"ecosystem_specific":{"urgency":"not yet assigned"},"database_specific":{"source":"https://storage.googleapis.com/osv-test-debian-osv/debian-cve-osv/DEBIAN-CVE-2022-49875.json"}},{"package":{"name":"linux","ecosystem":"Debian:13","purl":"pkg:deb/debian/linux?arch=source&distro=trixie"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"6.0.10-1"}]}],"ecosystem_specific":{"urgency":"not yet assigned"},"database_specific":{"source":"https://storage.googleapis.com/osv-test-debian-osv/debian-cve-osv/DEBIAN-CVE-2022-49875.json"}},{"package":{"name":"linux","ecosystem":"Debian:14","purl":"pkg:deb/debian/linux?arch=source&distro=forky"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"6.0.10-1"}]}],"ecosystem_specific":{"urgency":"not yet assigned"},"database_specific":{"source":"https://storage.googleapis.com/osv-test-debian-osv/debian-cve-osv/DEBIAN-CVE-2022-49875.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.9.0","severity":[{"type":"CVSS_V3","score":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H"}]}
