As btrfs/167 is doing a NOCOW write this is to be expected.  Further analysis with drgn confirmed the assumption:    \u003e\u003e\u003e inode = prog.crashed_thread().stack_trace()[11]['ordered'].inode   \u003e\u003e\u003e btrfs_inode = drgn.container_of(inode, \"struct btrfs_inode\", \\          \t\t\t\t\"vfs_inode\")   \u003e\u003e\u003e print(btrfs_inode.flags)   (u32)1  As zoned emulation mode simulates conventional zones on regular devices, we cannot use zone-append for writing. But we're only attaching dummy checksums if we're doing a zone-append write.  So for NOCOW zoned data writes on conventional zones, also attach a dummy checksum.","modified":"2026-09-15T09:02:57.213719168Z","published":"2024-07-12T13:15:18.180Z","upstream":["CVE-2024-40962"],"references":[{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://security-tracker.debian.org/tracker/CVE-2024-40962"}],"affected":[{"package":{"name":"linux","ecosystem":"Debian:13","purl":"pkg:deb/debian/linux?arch=source&distro=trixie"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"6.9.7-1"}]}],"ecosystem_specific":{"urgency":"not yet assigned"},"database_specific":{"source":"https://storage.googleapis.com/osv-test-debian-osv/debian-cve-osv/DEBIAN-CVE-2024-40962.json"}},{"package":{"name":"linux","ecosystem":"Debian:14","purl":"pkg:deb/debian/linux?arch=source&distro=forky"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"6.9.7-1"}]}],"ecosystem_specific":{"urgency":"not yet assigned"},"database_specific":{"source":"https://storage.googleapis.com/osv-test-debian-osv/debian-cve-osv/DEBIAN-CVE-2024-40962.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.9.0","severity":[{"type":"CVSS_V3","score":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H"}]}
