{"id":"DEBIAN-CVE-2025-53537","details":"LibHTP is a security-aware parser for the HTTP protocol and its related bits and pieces. In versions 0.5.50 and below, there is a traffic-induced memory leak that can starve the process of memory, leading to loss of visibility. To workaround this issue, set `suricata.yaml app-layer.protocols.http.libhtp.default-config.lzma-enabled` to false. This issue is fixed in version 0.5.51.","modified":"2026-09-18T22:00:05.158040618Z","published":"2025-07-23T21:15:26.613Z","upstream":["CVE-2025-53537"],"references":[{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://security-tracker.debian.org/tracker/CVE-2025-53537"}],"affected":[{"package":{"name":"libhtp","ecosystem":"Debian:13","purl":"pkg:deb/debian/libhtp?arch=source&distro=trixie"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"1:0.5.50-1+deb13u1"}]}],"versions":["1:0.5.50-1","1:0.5.50-1+deb13u1~bpo12+1"],"ecosystem_specific":{"urgency":"not yet assigned"},"database_specific":{"source":"https://storage.googleapis.com/osv-test-debian-osv/debian-cve-osv/DEBIAN-CVE-2025-53537.json"}}],"schema_version":"1.9.0","severity":[{"type":"CVSS_V3","score":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H"}]}
